This area enables you to configure a scanning session's default properties, image enhancements, and image processes. It is located inside the Scanning Explorer Pane. It contains two nodes.

Default properties node
This node enables you to assign default properties to a scanning session.
Image Processing node
This node enables you to add image enhancements and processes to a scanning session. Once enhancements and processes have been added, this node is referred to as the Processing Tree.
Note: Image enhancements and processes are performed in the vertical order in which they appear in the Scanning Explorer Pane. This order can dramatically alter the results of a scanning session, as an image enhancement or process will always effect the following enhancement or process. In most cases, OmniPage OCR should be performed after image enhancements.
Tip: You can reorder items in the Processing Tree by dragging and dropping them.
Tip: Right-click a node for additional options.
